My present Christmas mindset keeps me quite far away from the malls and the insanity that is inherently contained in the shopping mania.
With the exception of a gift for my dad, my shopping is for ME. There's no rule that says I have to be involved in all this craziness.

Of course, some of this attitude comes from being alone for many years in my 20's. As more people have come into my life who I care for over the last dozen years,

I see that it's good to give to others, just as Jesus Christ taught, and demonstrated. It's the crunch right now that overwhelms me.
So I had a nice chill

of a day today. The cool cats woke me up today. Lucy and Gump just wanted to be loved and petted (and fed, which is why they bother me.) Then I went and picked up my dad's gift of window vents for his Mustang.
At home, I saw part of an interesting movie called "TORA! TORA! TORA!", which is about the attack on Pearl Harbor and how ill-prepared the U.S was.
I used a gift certificate from a friend to pick up a couple of CD's from a music store. I'm thankful that other people do give gifts to me. Maybe in the future I'll return the favor...
Enjoy your Christmas.
